It
was 1916 when Bert Freeman and Frank Morgan joined the Australian Frank became an airframe specialist keeping the Sopwith Camel fighters of No. 4 squadron in the air over France. Bert was kept busy keeping the training aircraft of No. 5 in the air over England. Neither man at the time realised that the fledgling aviation tradition that they helped nurture would be carried on by their descendants two generations later.
